The program will provide eligible households with access to loans valued at $ 2,000 to $ 15,000 that can be used towards the initial costs of investing in energy efficient home improvements. . These loans will be repaid over 10 years and will have no fees.
Borrowers can borrow above the $ 15,000 limit, but approval will be based on their credit checks. However, the lender can charge interest on any amount borrowed over the limit.
Eligible energy efficiency upgrades include the following:

Home battery storage systems
Electric heating and cooling systems
Hot water heat pumps
Electric hotplates
Electric vehicles
Electric vehicle charging infrastructure
Installation fees for these products.
