The latest figures show that since July 2017, over 38,000 first-time homebuyer concessions and exemptions have been granted for properties in the Victoria area. This translates into savings of over $ 450 million.
About 28% of all beneficiaries of the first-time homebuyer's concessions and exemptions were in the Victoria area, which represents almost 20% of the total savings.

The state government recently announced the $ 500 million Victorian Homebuyer Fund, which will operate as a new equity sharing scheme to support Victorians looking to buy a home.
The fund will help buyers reduce the amount of deposit required by contributing to the purchase price, in exchange for a proportional interest. The fund will be available to buyers of existing and newly built homes.
