Andrew Winter became famous by hosting the Selling Houses Australia Real Estate Show in 2008. However, his love affair with the property began much earlier than that.
"Since I was a child, I have always been passionate about real estate," he says.
While he was working for a real estate agency in England in 1985, Winter bought his first home. Shortly after, he found a jewel of a property in the heart of London, located next to Tower Bridge.
"I bought it while the market was still a little in decline in the late 90's. I could not believe I would have got it so cheap! "He said.
After some affordable upgrades, Winter managed to resell the property with a large profit the following year, which financed a family home that he bought with his wife.
"My biggest regret was selling it – it's probably worth 1.5 million pounds today," says Winter.
His real estate investments have allowed him to lead a comfortable life, but he adds that there has never been a "light bulb moment" when he decided to focus only on profits.
"I've always loved houses," he says, "and the chance of earning money was only icing on the cake!"
